The major stainless steel producers in North America planned to cut 300 series of stainless steel surcharge for June, due to the prices of raw materials decline.
North America''s major manufacturers of North American Stainless Steel (NAS), AK Steel, Allegheny Lud (ATI), etc., will cut 304 stainless steel surcharge of 54 ~ 54.03 cents/lb, fell by 5% compared with previous month. In May, 304 surcharge was at 56.84 ~ 56.87 cents/lb. 316 surcharge was also reduced to 69.21 ~ 69.37 cents/lb, respectively.
