Japanese scrap stock increases in Jul due to lower sales-The 21st China (Guangzhou)Int’l Fastener & Equipment Exhibition

According to statistics from the Japanese Ministry of Finance, the stock of carbon steel scrap had a month-on-month increase in July since the consumption was lower than purchase volume.
Moreover, due to the production cuts in summer, both of the consumption and the purchase volume in the Japanese domestic scrap market decreased July compared to the previous month.
The statistics showed that the stock of carbon steel scrap was around 2.68 million tons in July, which rose month on month and year on year, which was the first time in the past 3 months.
