According to statistics from the US Department of Commerce (USDOC), the US’ steel exports amounted to approximately 764,900 tons in March this year, increasing by nearly 16% compared to the previous month and also hiking by 6.7% from the same month a year ago.
Among them, the US exported the most steel products to Canada, totaling roughly 380,000 tons, a year-on-year increase of nearly 14%. Mexico ranked second with roughly 338,000 tons, up by 1.1% year on year; followed by Australia’s 2,600 tons.
The export value totaled around US$1.43 billion during the period, up by 20.2% month on month and by 37.5% year on year.
