Spanish scrap imports hit 25-year low in 2018-The 20th China(Guangzhou) Die-casting, Foundry & Industry Furnace Exhibition

According to the statistics, the imports of scrap in Spain totaled around 3.9 million tons in 2018, dropping by 8.1% compared to the previous year, which was the 25-year low since 1993’s 3.8 million tons.
Among them, the imports from France accounted for the largest proportion of 44.2%, totaling around 1.7 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 3%. The UK ranked second, accounting for 23.3% of total, with the amount of 910,000 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 10.9%. Portugal ranked third with around 480,000 tons, accounting for 12.4%, a year-on-year reduction of 3.6%.
